Die Ursprünge hat Rn’B von der schwarzen Kultur und Urban Musik ist fantastisch zum tanzen aufgrund der Freiheit des Stils und der verschiedenen Interpretation.
Unabhängig von den Musikkategorien, kann tanzen zur Urban Musik auch allgemein unter Hip Hop Tanz bezeichnet werden, was die Bewegungen breaking, popping, locking und freestyle mit sich bringt und welche nur ein Teil von vielen Möglichen sind. Ich benutze Elemente dieser Bewegungen in meinen Disco Tanzlehrkursen.
Was auch immer für einen Stil du wählst, was wichtig ist, ist die Musik und dein Gefühl zur Musik und wie gut eine Tanzbewegung zur Musik passt. Zum Beispiel, wenn der Song einen harten, betonenden Beat hat, so wie der Song von Kanye West, dann willst du bestimmt dazu pop-Bewegung machen (deine Muskeln spielen lassen und dann abprupt anhalten) zu bestimmten Beats. Wenn dann die sanften souligen Stellen kommen, dann vielleicht den Körper etwas sanfter bewegen und langsamer, eine geschmeidige Tanzbewegung wäre hier angebracht.
